Ladies

Just wondered whether any one else has experienced problems with their Periods since being on medication for RA, bit of long shot but i just wondered if thats why my cycle is so irregular, i did ask my RA consultant but he said there would be no connection and that i should discuss it with my GP, but just wondered whether any one else has had a problem too. Confused

hi lou, dont know what age you are but could it be menopause? i was always all over the place so dont know answer,now i am woman of that age(54) dont have the problem any more,just ask gp or nurses always best,dorothy

Hi Louise

My name is Rachel and I have had problems during the last year with my periods they are all over the place and very heavy. I have seen a gynae and they said no problems but to have the merina coil fitted which I have decided not to do and just carry on and hope that they settle down. My sister also has RA and although her periods are not irregular they are heavy.

I would speak to your GP to see if they can suggest something for you. I have decided to ask my RA nurse when I see them next Feb so may be able to suggest something then. I am 45 years of age and have been told I dont have early onset of the menopause.

Hope this helps and if you get any information that may help me that would be great or if anyone else has that would be good too.

I've had problems for the past few years, every other month!Scared
I was trying for a baby until July - when after 2 years off methtrixate jointly agreed with rheumy consultant to give up trying. Sad I think our bodies put up with so much, like ra and everyone is different.

It used to get my hopes up, thinking I was pregnant!!! Sad RollEyes

Going back on methtrix and now leth'ide hasn't made any difference!
I just make a note in my diary so I know where I am.
